Barbara Baez Robinson — Photographer & Founder

I’m going to start with something cliché but absolutely true: I’ve loved taking pictures since I was a child. My photography journey began when I was just two years old, holding my first camera—a gift from my mother. By middle school, I was taking photography classes, and ever since, the lens has become my way of seeing and sharing the world.

Over the years, friends and family began calling me “Babarazzi”—a playful mix of my name, Barbara, and Paparazzi—because I was always capturing candid moments. That nickname stuck, and I made it official by trademarking it and founding BabarazziPhotos, where I now bring my passion to life as a professional photographer.

My work is about more than just taking photos. I aim to capture emotion, authenticity, and the beauty of the in-between moments that define our lives. Whether I’m photographing a wedding, a maternity session, a high-energy concert, or a quiet family gathering, my process always starts the same: with intention, care, and creativity. I talk with my clients about wardrobe, location, and posing to ensure each session is thoughtful and personalized. I pay close attention to lighting, positioning, and surroundings to create compelling, story-driven images.

I’ve been a professional photographer for over 10 years and have had the honor of documenting everything from Quinceañeras to award ceremonies. My photography has been featured in magazines, exhibitions, and brand campaigns, and it's allowed me to explore various genres—from portraiture to landscape, live music, and real estate photography.

Some people are surprised that I don’t stick to just one genre. But photography has always been a journey of curiosity for me. I began taking photos for my husband's band as a favor and discovered that live music photography sparked something new in me. I’ve since continued to grow and diversify my portfolio—always learning, always exploring. I'm currently continuing my education at Arizona State University (ASU) to keep sharpening my skills and pushing my creativity further.

What I want people to understand is this: I don’t just take photos—I tell stories. Whether it’s a major milestone or a quiet, tender moment, I aim to document life in all its beautiful, raw emotion.

At BabarazziPhotos, I offer a full range of services including portraits, family photos, live music, maternity, band and branding shoots, and event photography. I’m inspired by the world and the people in it—and I’m here to help preserve your most meaningful memories with artistry and authenticity.

Voy a comenzar con algo cliché pero absolutamente cierto: ¡me ha encantado tomar fotos desde que era una niña! Mi camino en la fotografía comenzó a los dos años, cuando mi madre me regaló mi primera cámara. En la escuela secundaria tomé mis primeras clases de fotografía y, desde entonces, la cámara se convirtió en mi forma de ver y compartir el mundo.

Con el tiempo, mis amigos y familiares comenzaron a llamarme “Babarazzi”, una mezcla divertida entre mi nombre, Barbara, y Paparazzi, porque siempre estaba capturando momentos espontáneos. Ese apodo se quedó conmigo, lo registré legalmente y fundé BabarazziPhotos, donde hoy transformo mi pasión en una carrera profesional.

Mi trabajo va más allá de solo tomar fotos. Mi objetivo es capturar emociones auténticas y la belleza de esos momentos intermedios que hacen que la vida sea especial. Ya sea en una boda, una sesión de maternidad, un concierto lleno de energía o una reunión familiar íntima, mi proceso siempre comienza con intención, cuidado y creatividad. Converso con mis clientes sobre el vestuario, la locación y las poses, asegurándome de que cada sesión sea personalizada y relajada. Presto especial atención a la luz, la composición y el entorno para crear imágenes poderosas que cuentan una historia.

Soy fotógrafa profesional desde hace más de 10 años y he tenido el honor de documentar todo tipo de eventos, desde Quinceañeras hasta ceremonias de premiación. Mi trabajo ha sido publicado en revistas, exhibido en galerías, y utilizado en campañas de marcas reconocidas. Gracias a esto he podido explorar diferentes géneros: retratos, paisajes, fotografía musical en vivo, bienes raíces y más.

Algunas personas se sorprenden de que no me limite a un solo estilo de fotografía. Pero para mí, la fotografía siempre ha sido un viaje de exploración constante. Comencé tomando fotos para la banda de mi esposo como un favor, y descubrí que la fotografía en conciertos despertaba algo nuevo en mí. Desde entonces, no he dejado de crecer ni de diversificar mi portafolio. Actualmente continúo mi formación académica en la Universidad Estatal de Arizona (ASU) para seguir perfeccionando mi técnica y expandiendo mi creatividad.

Lo que quiero que la gente entienda es esto: no solo tomo fotos—cuento historias. Ya sea un gran acontecimiento o un momento silencioso y emotivo, mi misión es documentar la vida en toda su belleza natural y emocional.
